LYNDONVILLE JOINT FIRE DISTRICT

NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS PURCHASE

Notice to all residents of the Lyndonville Joint Fire District that the Board of Fire Commissioners of said Fire District, pursuant to the following resolution, which is SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM, intend to enter into a contract to purchase and equip a pumper for the Fire District to be delivered in 2025, to be paid for by expending One Hundred Fifty Thousand dollars ($150,000) on hand in the Reserve Fund and financing the remainder of the apparatus total cost not to exceed Six Hundred Thirty Thousand dollars ($630,000)..

Whereas, at a regular meeting of said Board of Fire Commissioners on October 11, 2023 it was resolved to use said funds as follows:

RESOLVED, THAT THE FIRE DISTRICT EXPEND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000) IN THE RESERVE FUND AND BY ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT TO FUND THE REMAINING COST; NOT TO EXCEED A TOTAL OF SIX HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($630,000) TO PURCHASE AND EQUIP A PUMPER TO BE USED BY THE FIRE DISTRICT, INCLUDING LEGAL AND ADVERTISING COSTS.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners, a special election of the qualified voters of the Lyndonville Joint Fire District with be held at the Lyndonville Joint Fire District Firehouse at 148 North Main Street, Lyndonville, New York, on November 1, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to vote upon the above Resolution:
